Apple Rock Advertising & Promotion Pulls 145,000 lb. Airplane for CPCC Fundraiser

Charlotte, NC, April 14, 2007 - Apple Rock participated in the Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) Scholarship Fundraiser in the Airplane Pull for Charlotte on April 14, 2007. Of 21 teams, Apple Rock placed #1 with a time of 11.06 seconds. 21 teams of 20 enthusiastic Airplane Pullers competed to pull a 145,000 lb. aircraft and raise money for CPCC. Exhibitors, vendors, Charlotte leaders and community members joined in to produce a great event for a noteworthy cause. Various airplanes were onsite for tours, and a children’s airplane pull brought great excitement to the younger crowd.
 
The Pull for Charlotte is the primary fundraising event for the CPCC Scholarship Fund.  This is a non-profit scholarship dedicated to providing quality education to high school seniors or deserving adults with a demonstrated financial need to continue their education.  The Scholarship Fund relies solely on the proceeds from the Airplane Pull and the commitment and generosity of volunteers, and of corporate and individual contributors. Apple Rock is proud to be a participant and contributor for The Pull for Charlotte and supporting local education.
